Frequently Asked Questions |
Below is a list of questions we are asked often regarding the operation of the telephone equipment.
|
XIOX Call Accounting system: |
|
The Call Accounting System makes a beep sound
The beep sound is to alert the operator of some malfunction. By looking at the screen on the call accounting the problem can be identified. There are normally 3 cases that beeping is heard.
- Check Printer - The printer is out of paper, or the ribbon is worn out. Reinsert the paper or replace the ribbon cartridge.
- Unposted calls - The call accounting is unable to communicate with the PMS system. To test the call accounting system setup a wake-up call for an extension then cancel the wake-up call. The printer should print this setup. If it prints a line of data this indicates that the call accounting is operating properly. At this point please contact the PMS support tech and let them know that the call accounting interface is inoperable.
- 90% Full - The call accounting system can record up to 14000 call records. When its memory is 90 % full it will alert the operator. To clear the memory please view the call accounting manual memory management page 6
